Update 3/25/17 #2

There was some things I didn't add yesterday due to being short on time, so have decided to make this post now.
This is the drawing I  finished last week:
The Sun and Moon :

True disciples are drawn to “worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters—calling upon the name of the Lord day and night." - Dean M. Davies

Made with a mechanical pencil, pink pearl eraser, kneeded eraser, india ink pen, colored india ink pen, inktenese pencil, white gel pen water, and painter's tape
Time: about 1 hour and 45 min over 16 days.

And I finally put my mission plaque picture in the plaque
This is the mission  plaque picture uncropped :

Back from the ashes

So I have decided to start up this blog again.
Here is a quote from my updated about page
" I have changed it to reflect on what I learned during the week as a missionary, along with scriptures, quotes from lds.org, and art I worked on during the week, which includes WIP art. I will be adding all my art here while on my mission instead of Darhook.wordpress.com as I've decided to do LDS related art, landscapes, and semi- realistic animal art while on my mission to help put my focus on Christ instead of honing my art skill as much as I did before my mission.
After my mission I plan on going back to posting art I plan to do that's based off general conference talks quotes and future LDS art."

Due to being short on time here is a quote from my new page "Art to do"
What I'm currently working on: The Sun and Moon

This is what I plan on working on soon: Faith without works is dead

Drawings for this blog I plan on doing: Updated Header done in a traditional art style

(There is no long list of drawings to do I plan on posting here, as I plan on keeping this more simple then my list of things to draw page on Darhook.wordpress.com)

Family History work

I have a picture from lds.org i would like to share:
family history conference card

The highlight for this week for me was today, as I went to the Walla Walla Family Discovery Day 2017.
The one thing that I would like to share from what I learned from going to the event was that doing family history work gives you protection from the Adversary.
While on familysearch earlier this week, I saw this one really cool story about my ancestor Peter Shirts. On his profile, it said he was know as The Daniel Boone of Old Deseret. There is also a longer story of him here. This is why you should do genealogy as there are ancestors out there that you might find, unless you haven't index your own family history records, in which case you should as there are other people related to you that would benefit from what you know, as otherwise I wouldn't have found a lengthy story that included an ancestor who got a some Piutes to plow his land in return for sharing his food with them, while friends of him thought Indians had killed him during the winter until they went looking for him the following spring.
I also believe that if you are on a genealogy website that allows you to share ancestor's stories that you should as they are very interesting for all to read.

Malachi Chapter 4
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
